Moving Through The Narrows
"In the main, ghosts are said to be forlorn and generally miserable, if not downright depressed. The jolly ghost is rare." ~ Dick Cavett

People bother me.
People bother me.
From the woman on her cell phone who doesn’t see the stop sign,
To the fat couple taking up too much room on the sidewalk so I can’t get pass.
From the good looking young man just standing there looking good,
To the baby squealing at a high pitch in the middle of the produce section and her mother ignoring it.
People bother me.
From the drunken college kids walking home from the bars at 2 AM who wake me up,
To the old man on his ‘rascal’ who decides to do a K-turn in the middle of the aisle cutting me off.
From people who call my number, hang up and don’t leave a message so I have to *66 to find out who it was,
To the woman who makes me wait while she chats with a co-worker, when all I want to do is ask if they carry a certain book in the store.
People bother me.
From people who don’t think I’m qualified for a job despite my years of experience,
To the guy who tells me to be more positive when I’m being realistic.
From the happy couples I see everywhere,
To people who seem to have their shit together and I don’t.
People bother me.
Ever since you left, people bother me.
