This was a sketch I did from a photograph I found in Newsweek magazine. The article I read was about recovering american soliders who had served in Iraq and the doctors who helped them survive. Most of the soliders covered in the piece were not over the age of 25. I would consider this guy one of the lucky ones. Although I don't feel he would share the same outlook.

Trust me when I say my sketch doesn't do the reality justice. War is hell.
